Sorrento Peninsula may not be the best place to be in winter...
the days are a bit cold and definitely humid, the sea is too cold to swim, majority of restaurants are closed and the fleet of hundreds of boats is hibernating somewhere inland.
Having said that - it is still an interesting time of year to come. The hiking paths are empty, so if you are a fan of contemplating the nature alone, there's no better time to be.
The sea is free from the boats, the sun setting between Capri and Ischia creates a lightweight atmosphere, and the empty streets of Sorrento or Positano will welcome you and the books you want to read in peace.
Also, if you want to have a little intimate wedding overlooking the sea and Vesuvio - yes... do it in winter!
Last February we had a pleasure to film and photograph the wedding of Candice&Alex.
Set in the lovely surroundings of empty, quiet Villa Silvana of Sorrento, the wedding was a sweet, intimate ceremony full of tears of joy. Have a look yourself!
